Every day, we spent an average of 15 hours facing our computer screen. For once we have cut the direct interaction with our own world outside our bedroom, living room, class room or office windows. The only windows that we see, is our 15 – 21 inch screen which some are portable and some are not portable.
Desktop, files, icons, folders, dashboard, widgets & lights are what form our world for that solid 15 hours. Where are we? Who are we? Hows our world? Questions that were only replied with clicks and taping produced by the touches of our sensitive finger tips on the mouse & keyboards.
Sensitive? Everyone are sensitive, and are in need of an alternate world that could transport them to their own imaginary world for that 15 hours. 15 hours of life and continuous understanding of where we are and who are we. 15 hours of us knowing the others who created the world where we live in or at least the world that enlighten and gives us the status of being ourselves.
So, beautiful junk 2007 would love to have a group of creative people to join us and promote yourselves to the publics out there and at the same time creating a special world for them to live in for the 15 hours of their imaginary action.
This year beautiful junk 2007: WallPaperEdition will be one of the new media showcases of works that require no prints. Our submission requirements will be simple. Create an artworks that fit to both sizes of 1024 x 768 pixels and another size of 1440 x 900 pixels. All submission must be in JPEG, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrators, EPS and Macromedia Freehand. Every submission must include the artist details such as name, country, url, email and the title of the artwork submitted. All artworks submitted will be made available for free download by visitors to our showcases and website. All artworks will be the rights of the respective artist and beautiful junk will only upload the artworks to be downloadable on our url at http://www.beautiful-junk.org/ Submission dateline is on 20 October 2007. hope to b able to get your artworks soon. thanks for the support.
